Today is International Care Day 2022, a day to celebrate the rights of children and young people with care experience.
This year’s theme is “It takes a village”. Here at Dingwall Trust, we are an actual village, where tamariki and rangatahi have been cared for during challenging times for more that 90 years.
We invited the tamariki and rangatahi here to write a story or poem about someone who had made a huge difference to them in their care journey.
We are humbled they chose to write about the Dingwall village and the cottages they live in within that, with dedicated caregivers and other tamariki and rangatahi who may or might not be from the same whānau.
We are here for as long as they need us.
