Happy birthday Dingwall Trust!! On Saturday February 8 we celebrated 90 years of David McNair Dingwall’s legacy of caring for vulnerable children. Our Papatoetoe site opened its doors to children in need in February 1930. We marked the occasion with a wonderful party for young and old. Our most senior former residents from as far back as the 1940s brought their families and mixed and mingled with the children and young people who live here today. There were bouncy castles, an animal farm, a heritage walk, candy floss, toffee apples and much more. The day closed with the birthday cake being bag piped in and cut by our youngest resident. A wonderful and happy occasion for everyone to enjoy.
